Transitioning Teens

Eckerd Community Alternatives is committed to ensuring teens in foster care and those exiting care have the resources, support and training they need to successfully transition to adulthood.  Eckerd subcontracts with Camelot Community Care to provide Independent Living Services to foster youth ages 13 to 17 and to young adults formerly in foster care, ages 18 to 23.  These services are designed to assist youth in obtaining life skills and education for independent living and employment; to provide youth a quality of life appropriate for their age; and empower youth to assume personal responsibility for becoming self-sufficient adults.
